Aped Retail Summit

Consumption, the economy, geostrategy, retail tendencies, the era of data processing and artificial intelligence, the environment and sustainability, and Portugal's ambition. All these topics will be discussed at the APED Retail Summit | Sharing the Future, on May 8th and 9th, 2018, at Museu do Oriente, in Lisbon.

In this edition, we are counting on the presence of Ernest Moniz – Secretary of Energy under the Obama presidency, between 2013 and 2017 – whose contribution was determining for the construction of the economic plans based on environmental safety and protection.

Currently a Professor at MIT and CEO of Energy Futures Initiative, Portuguese descendant Ernest Moniz is bringing us, on May 9th, a reflection on the challenges of international policies and the economy within the fields of energy, innovation, and environmental safety at a crucial time in the discussion of these topics for the World’s sustainable future.

In the first six editions, this event counted on internationally acclaimed names such as Nobel Prize winners Paul Krugman, Lars Peter Hansen, Joseph Stiglitz, Al Gore, and Jose Maria Aznar.

The APED Retail Summit is a reference biannual initiative within the Distribution sector, which is organised by APED - Associação Portuguesa de Empresas de Distribuição (Portuguese Association of Retail Companies). For more information, click here.
